We would like to setup Tempo addon on JIRA, to allow users to enter expense details for a given issue, when they report work on it. We are thinking in adding 3 attributes (ExpenseType, ExpenseValue and ExpenseDescription) on Tempo Worklog Attributes.
Is this the best way to do it (we have just started to use JIRA and Tempo platform) or is there a nicer way to achieve the same functionality on JIRA ?
If so, how can I add a list of values for the ExpenseType attribute? It seems that I need to provide some sort of public JSONP external url but I don't know how to do it (when selected the DYNAMIC_DROP_DOWN option, JIRA says: "Note: External URL must return a JSONP object values[[key: value]]").
It should be easy to setup a fixed list of values (something like: Hotel/001; Public transport/002; Meals/003).
for the Expense Type, you can use the Dynamic Drop Down (Select List) as described in https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO/Worklog+Attributes+Types, for the Expense Value a numerical field (Input Numeric) and an Input field for the Expense Description. This additional worklog information can be viewed in the Report view of the Timesheets (https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO0710/Report+View) when you add the columns to show in the view.
These fields are included in the Excel export and you can pivot the table to show and sum up the values you are interested in (http://blog.tempoplugin.com/2012/pivoting-tempo-and-jira-reports-using-excel/)
The worklog attributes are Tempo specific data and are not included in the standard reports in the Project section (this includes only JIRA data)
You can export the Project Timesheet to Excel when in the Report view of the Timesheet (in the Export dropdown). You can also use the Tempo Servlet (https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO0710/Tempo+Servlet+Manual) to export data.
