We've just started with Jira, and I've installed GreenHopper and we're using RapidBoards extensively. The main reason being that we're a small organization that have multiple projects, and being able to see all projects at once gives a better idea of what is going on. Is there a reason for every chosing the Task Board instead of the Rapid Board?
It is all personal preference if you want to use the Task Board vs. the Rapid Board. RapidBoards are the future of Greenhopper and have more functionality, like you have already found. The two caveots of RapidBoards:
1)We are focusing on Kanban teams first and will move on to support for Scrum teams as described in The Future of GreenHopper.
2)Please note that Internet Explorer 7 (and IE8/IE9 in IE7 Compatibility Mode) are not supported for use with the Rapid Board.
Is there a JIRA issue to track the Scrum for RapidBoard feature?

No timeline or JIRA ticket on this one...it is "the future"! :-)
I'm guessing that the next major release will include the updates for scrum teams...sorry - I don't have any details at all.

I have not been able to modify the Card Styles for the Rapid Board. Although I can modify them for the Task Board. I'm surprised why this wouldn't be extended to the Rapid Boards.

We've run into that problem as well. Instead of modifying the card style to include our custom fields, we now have to "encode" that data in the subject field... and it's starting to leave very little space for the the text of the subject field *sigh*.
