Still can't set start date via REST?

Still can't set start date via REST?

There appears to be an Atlassian Answers answer that says that the current REST API's can't set the start date for a version that they create, but I can't find a definitive answer in the JIRA/Greenhopper documentation.

Is this still the case, and where would I find that info?

I guess it is still the same. You can refer the REST Api doc of greenhopper in the below link.
