Status in project 1 workflow to transition status in project 2 workflow

Hi there

I'm looking for an automation rule that when the status changes to 'in progress' in project 1 and the summary field matches the summary in project 2, then the status in project 2 must change to 'development'.

Would I have to add the rule in each project or can it be a global rule?

Please help.

Hi @Thembisa Ndlamlenze 

To achieve this you need to create global rule limited for both projects. Issues from projects should be linked. Without that it will be hard to find relation between issues.

Rule should be like this:

• When - issue tranistioned
• Condition - check if triggered issue is from project 1 (Project is one of...)
• Branch rule for linked issues (you need to set proper link type)
  • Condition - check if linked issue is from project 2
  • Action - tranistion issue

Did you make transition from 'Em progresso' to 'Concluido' to trigger this rule?

I made a mistake on the status, it would be "Done" and not "Concluido".
