Status and Resolution

Hello,

One of the users of a project  that we set up noticed that status and resolution are different. They had some issues in Jira that had been marked 'Fixed' or 'Resolved' but the status wasn’t changed and are still showing in the queue.  They have since fixed those two issues but  how can we resolve this so that the status and resolution are tied together and that when one is marked done/fixed/resolved/etc, it also marks the other one and moves it out of the queues.

Thanks

The relationship between a status and resolution is set in the workflow. I'm not familiar with the workflows that come with service management, but normally the resolution is set, either with a transition screen or post function, when issue is considered done/complete which is usually the last status in the workflow. It sounds like some workflow for some issue types don't set the resolution.  In that case you need to fix the workflow
