Sprint Cannot be Completed because there are Open Issues

Edited

I cannot complete the sprint, because warning says i have 17 open issues, but i have already mark that 17 issues with status that mark the resolution to "done"

JIRA-3.png

17 open issues, but i have all resolution to "done"

jira-1.png

Filter only "task" and "story" within sprint-3, a total of 17 issue

jira-2.png

Filter for all Sub-task within that "story" and sprint-3 , but for the total of sub-task is 57, no match for 41 completed issue or even 17 open issues.

i just tested add another issue on backlog without attach it to sprint-3, and i change the status from to-do to RC Deployment, when status in to-do. the "complete" sprint from sprint-3 still only have 41 complete issue. but then after i change status to rc deployment, the "complete" screen page from sprint-3 change to 42 complete issues.

so the sprint 3 complete issues too acting funny because it may look-like related to issues on backlog

Hi @Andrew and welcome to the Community!

Jira considers issues in a sprint to be open as long as they are not in the rightmost column of your board. That is most likely what is happening here. Status or resolution don't matter here, just have a look where the issues are on the board and have a look in your board settings how you have mapped statuses to columns.

Hope this helps!

hi @Walter Buggenhout

thank you for the response, for the rightmost column did you mean this column "done",

to make all issue is completed, i need to place it on done column right?

For issues to be considered complete in this board, yes - that is the column they should be in.

i have other question, recently are there an updates version on Jira side regarding the complete sprint requirement?

because on my last sprint (sprint 1 and 2) my issues are not on "Done" column, but i still can complete the sprint
