Hi, is it possible to give access to bugs created in Jira to the customers? Do they need an account to access them? The should have only limited access. How can we restrict the access?
Hi @Magdalena Sołtys
Welcome to the community!
Yes, it is possible to give access to bugs created in Jira to customers. However, they would need to have a Jira account in order to access the bugs.
To provide limited access to customers, you can assign them a specific Jira project role with restricted permissions. Jira offers various project roles like "Browse Project" or "Reporter" that can be customized to restrict access to specific functionalities or information. By assigning customers to these roles, you can control their access to bugs and other project-related information.
Additionally, you can also customize the issue security level in Jira to further restrict access to specific bugs. This allows you to define who can view or edit certain bugs based on their security level.
By combining project roles and issue security levels, you can effectively control and restrict customer access to bugs in Jira.
Hope it helps!
