Hello,

I am wondering if there is a way to make it so that when creating issues, the only selectable parent options are from within that specific project rather than all projects.

This issue has only come about with the recent update where the "Parent" menu option has replaced the "Epic Link" menu option.

Now I'm having to try and memorise what specific key relates to which project to make sure I parent it to the correct project.

Thankyou, any feedback is much appreciated.

@Adam Welcome to the Atlassian community

This is a delivered field.  Since Jira supports projects, programs, etc this field allows you to see all issues that you have access to.  The reason for this is you might have an issue in one project that is related to another project.  So there is not a way to filter that field or limit it other that the issues that a user is able to see.  If they are associated with only one project and can only see issue in a single project it would then be limited to that project.  Users able to see multiple projects will see issues from multiple projects.
