SQL Server table sizes

Tom Vines September 8, 2022

Hi All,

Our sql database has gotten quite large and on checking the table sizes we've found that the following table AO_544E33_AUDIT_LOG_ENTRY is taking up the majority of the space.

Currently the JIRA.MBF file size is 32GB and the table size is 20GB.

It lists comms going back to the creation of our Jira instance.

Can this table be truncated?

Many thanks

Tom

Hi @Tom Vines

Those tables starting with AO_ are the tables which are used by plugins. As far as I know, AO_544E33 is the prefix for Email this Issue (JETI) plugin.

Since it says AUDIT_LOG, probably it will be ok to back up the table and truncate but I'd clearly recommend checking the plugin's documentation or raising the team a ticket and then moving forward.

I hope it helps!
