Is there a way to remove the "(Optional)" text next to a custom field when creating an issue? I don't want to make the field required, but I don't want it to say "(Optional)" either in the fear that customers will see that and never want to fill in information for that field. I want to encourage them to fill in the field, but not make it required every time. Thanks.

Unfortunately this is not possible out-of-the-box yet. You can vote and watch JSDSERVER-3204 or JSDCLOUD-3204 to get updated when they do add support for this.
