Release management

Hi,

   We have one of the team requirement.

We need Release Kanban Board to achieve structured way of release management for our application.

Under multiple testing environments, current release module does not show full pictures which release is fully ready for production. Products need to closely collaborate to make sure seamless experiences.

 Can this be achievable within Jira or we need to go for any app?

Hi @Suma Kustagi 

Yes, it is manageable. 

You could track this via the Issue life cycle (workflow) to perform the navigation through different environments and finally to the production environment.

Once you have defined the workflow, the statuses should be mapped to a Kanban board with proper columns.

You could also track this via a custom field with the name environment and add the different environment values you may have.

Once you have added the field, you can create the swimlane (JQL) and divide them via different environments.

If you are up to Partner Apps we would also suggest to look at Release Management App . We have a flexible Release Kanban Board, but also Roadmap, Calendar and List view.
