Query userstories based on assigned user with specific role

I add a new context field in our issue-types:  "Tester" (fieldtype: Person).

Is there any way I can query JIRA to get a list of all issues that were assigned to testers  with the user-role "Tester"?

Unfortunately Jira our of the box don't have feature in JQL to search users that are in specific project role :/

I know that there is a JQL function that can help you in ScriptRunner but this is paid app. Unfortunately I don't know other free solution what will fit here.
