Post worklog to Jira on behalf on someone else via JSON

I have read the API documentation and I have googled a lot - can you please help me:

Is it really not possible to post worklogs on behalf of another user through the rest api?

You can do it with the Tempo Timesheets plugin. It is not possible out fo the box.

Have you tried with tempo, because I'm unable to log time on behalf of user. Below is JSON Body posted to issue using tempo server api: /rest/api/2/issue/DP-1/worklog
