Hi @Prasad Andrews

This can be achieved with a condition in your workflow. Specifically, there is a condition named "Sub-Task Blocking Condition" that you can set to a transition to block the parent from transitioning if its sub-tasks has not reached a certain status in the workflow.

In that way you can block the parent from transitioning to its destination status if its sub-tasks has not reached Closed.

Hope this helps!

Good luck!

  1. What are the advantages, disadvantages & limitations(if any) of moving hosted Jira & wiki to cloud provisioned solution?
  2. What is the process of moving Jira to cloud solution and what could be the estimated downtime?

Andrews

Hello, there are some limitations/differences between cloud and server, that doesn't mean that would affect you.

Our company can help you assess that in detail and plan a migration as we have done with others in the past. Whichever answer we give over here might be too generic and wouldn't add much value to you. If you want us to review the case in more detail, contact us via our website

There is a condition you can put in every closing transition. It's called Sub-Task Blocking Condition”.

Go to the parent workflow, edit it, find the transitions to closed status and add that condition to everyone

you need to use a condition in the close transition of the workflow associated to the parent issue type, you should have a Sub-Task Blocking Condition over there. That should help you achieve what you need.

But this option could be applied for all the projects, which are using the current workflow. But I need this condition to be applied only for 1 of 100 projects using the workflow

Something like this should work, playing with "and" and "or" will allow you to do some more complicated conditionCaptura de pantalla 2023-03-02 130658.jpg
