Other people can't mention me or assign tasks to me

Starting last week, other team members said they can't find me on JIRA when they try to mention me ("@") on tickets, or when they try to assign a task to me.

I just don't appear in the suggestions - even when they correctly type my first name or last name. Some guy figured out a strange workaround - by "batching" a single ticket he managed to assign something to me. And I myself can assign a ticket to myself (though I can't mention myself on the ticket).

I'm at a loss. Nobody fiddled with the JIRA settings, we didn't change the teams or permissions or anything.

Any ideas how to solve this?

I seem to recall there was a recent bug that popped up on this. You might wish to reach out to Atlassian Support to ensure you are on the latest SW.
