Notification for Issue Created not firing

Roger Owers August 18, 2015

Very recently, and I swear nothing has changed that should affect this - (I checked the audit log too), notifications on Create have stopped being sent for one workflow/project.

The assignee is set using the component, to an email group.

All other events seem to fire fine and send email to this group.

I checked the post function on create and it has the fire event Issue Created last

I checked the notification scheme is assigned to the project and that Issue created notification has current assignee.

On JIRA 6.3.12

Can you check your JIRA Mail Queue and see if it's stuck?

Thanks Gabrielle, not stuck I'm afraid. Off to re-check the mail log to make sure it definitely wasn't fired now. anyone know if there is a log to check the actual firing of the event and any errors...

Try enabling the JIRA Debug Level (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Logging+and+Profiling). Then try to tail the logs while you are creating a ticket. There are multiple logs in the server depending on what you configured.
