Hello thanks for reading this far,

I am new to Jira administration. The task at hand is to merge 2 Jira instances both of which are data center based.

I'm using the Atlassian based tool Project configurator, which for the most part is seamless. The hurdle I have run it is as follows. (this is after I have exported and now attempt to import to the target instance)

Data import for project 'project1' did NOT complete.

Backup validation info:
ERRORS:
The backup project 'Project1' requires custom field named 'Gantt Chart' with full key 'de.polscheit.jira.plugins.gantt:gantt-bar'. In the current instance of Jira the plugin is at version '5.7.1-Jira8-9', but this custom field was not installed in the backup data. You may want to create an XML backup with this version of the plugin installed.

Data import for project 'Project2' did NOT complete.

Backup validation info:
ERRORS:
The backup project 'project2' requires custom field named 'Gantt Chart' with full key 'de.polscheit.jira.plugins.gantt:gantt-bar'. In the current instance of Jira the plugin is at version '5.7.1-Jira8-9', but this custom field was not installed in the backup data. You may want to create an XML backup with this version of the plugin installed.

The issue is this plugin was used at some point and the information is not available as to what version this was. I tried installing the same plugin on the target instance but that doesn't work since its a different version. I am getting tons of errors on the import tree and I suspect it may be linked to this. Would appreciate anyone's input since I cant find anything too relevant on the web. If anyone needs any further information feel free to ask. Would be much appreciated. :)

@Usman Tariq welcome to the Atlassian community

I would recommend uninstalling the plugin on the old instance and removing the custom field then making the backup and restoring the instance from it.
