The problem I am having appears to be covered in
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-81542 which is marked fixed, but I still don't see an option to export current view. I can export all or I can export defaults.
I realize I can change my defaults to match my current view and get it that way (which is likely what I'll do as a workaround), but I don't want to change my defaults, because they match the query I use most often. I want to be able to export what is showing in my current query. I don't see a way to do this.
Am I missing something or is this functionality still not actually available?
Hello @Joy Shafer
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
I think there has been a bit of a misunderstanding in the referenced issue.
The fix listed in the Comments is
"Support for all export options has been added to the New Issue Navigator"
The export options in the original issue navigator don't include exporting based on current view; only all fields or my defaults.
The ability to export based on the current options is a new feature that has not been implemented.
The issue requests an "export current view" option, but that is not what was addressed/implemented. What was implemented was the second thing they noted about "my defaults" being available in the original issue navigator export options but not in the new issue navigator export options.
I've added a comment suggesting that the issue should be reopened.
I have discovered that if I make changes to a saved filter, I only have a choice to export all or export my defaults.
However, if if I close and reopen the filter, I have a choice to export all or export filter fields.
This effectively gives me what I want, although I will say the UI is clunky and I doubt it was actually designed to work this way.
Thanks for your response. :)
