Hi team -
We are trying to give a customer access to a software project so they can view our current development tasks. We'd like to hide some comments from them, but it looks like we can only hide entire issues.
Is there any workaround for this?
It works for service desk, but not for next-gen software products.
Restricting comment visibility is not available in Next-Gen projects at this stage. It has been suggested though, vote/follow JSWCLOUD-18778
You can limit comment visibility in Classic projects, as an alternative.
When adding a comment, there will be a padlock icon in-line with the Save button, in the bottom-right. Click this, and you can choose which project roles can see the comment.

As far as I'm aware, software project don't support 'customers' as such, so there wouldn't be a way to hide only certain comments
