Need to give access of Description field only.

Hi All,

I need to give access only Description, comment and screen which I have attached with workflow transition. 

I am able to give access on comment and screen. But not able to give access of Description field. Once I allowed to access of "Edit Issues" under the "Permission" then they can able to Edit all filed. I need to apply restriction of all filed except "Description".

Hi @Kumari dvipa - I am not seeing the attachment you referenced in your question. If I'm understanding correctly, you're trying to prevent the ability to edit the Description field.  This can be accomplished through different screens/screen schemes.  You'll need at least two screens:

• Create/Edit Screen: This would include all of your fields except Description
• View Screen: This would include all fields including Description

Your Screen Scheme would then need to be modified to ensure that the Create/Edit screen is default and the View action is explicitly linked to the View Screen created above.

Note - You'll probably want a transition screen so that you have a means for updating the Description in your workflow.  That workflow transition can be paired with a condition so that only those in a specific group or role are allowed to transition, ensuring only those individuals can actually edit the Description field.
