I need these issues/tickets in done, and I need to keep them so 1) we have a history of the work and 2) we can report on the time it took to do the job and EOM.
Where are they, and how can I get them back and how can I stop them from deleting?

The Done Tickets aren't actually deleted. It is only that the Done tickets should be displayed in Done Column.
1. Map your tickets in Done status with the Done Column from your Settings Configure Board settings.
Can you see the tickets if you do an Advanced search for all "Done" tickets?
Or, if you have an open ticket, can you get to the ticket by changing the ticket number in the URL?
