We're migrating from OnDemand to locally hosted JIRA and Confluence and hit a bit of a snag:

With OnDemand we're using Google for our user management and authentication. We'd like to continue to do so using our local instances of JIRA and Confluence. We'd thought there was an Atlassian plugin that would allow us to do so, but we haven't been able to track one down. After looking at Atlassian Crowd it seemed we'd be able to use it to tie things together but after testing it seems that Crowd is taking over user management and authentication responsibility... this is pretty much exactly the opposite of what we need.

How do we continue to use Google for user auth and management with locally hosted JIRA and Confluence?

Ken, please contact AppFusions as we have a Google Apps authentiation plugin for Confluence (and JIRA soon). Happy to get this up and running for you if you require it.

Out of the box, the behind the firewall instances don't support auth via Google Apps.
