Mandatory Check for estimation on transition not working

Mandatory Check for estimation on transition not working

We have activated the mandatory field check on transition for estimation. When a user enters e.g. "0m" the mandatory field check is not working anymore and the transition is executed.

Anyone has a hint how to fix that?

can you use a Condition on the workflow transition of "Value Field" and use ">" for Condition?

This could be my last hope. But I really don't like conditions as users don't get feedback about what's wrong.
