Learn Jira Rest API

I'm working as an atlassian admin at my organization. Along with that i want to learn working with Jira Rest API. Can someone suggest the best methods or places where i can find the useful resources ?

Here are some resources for you.

• Jira REST API and examples.
• Jira Server REST API Reference.
• To practice with Jira easily and quickly use the Atlassian REST API Browser. This will let you play with the api and try out simple things.

I quite often use curl or browser to play with the REST API and doing quick tests. The first link has some examples for you to get familiar with it.
