Kanban board not listing Epics

Ashwin Kupatkar August 21, 2016

Hello,

Below are Epics which are in backlog status (as per custom defined Epic Workflow), but they do not list on Kanban board under backlog status.

NDC-958: JIRA Training 1

NDC-987: JIRA Training 2

NDC-991: JIRA Training 3

NDC-992: JIRA Training 4

If we look at the filter attached to this board, these Epics are listed on the results. But the board is not showing them. When i click on "view on board" it says "There are no boards which contain this issue". This happens also for those issues that are already available on the board.

Why is this happening? Need resolution ASAP. URGENT

Regards,

Ashwin

Is this a new board or new changes?

Check a few of these;

  1. Is the board filter shared with the correct people/groups?
  2. In System->Global Permissions do you have "Create Shared Objects" Permission?
  3. Do they have permission to Browse the project(s) included on the board?

HI @Ashwin Kupatkar

If the epics are returned as search results in the JQL filter then please make sure that in the Board configuration your columns are mapped correctly, i.e.  the backlog workflow status is mapped to backlog column of the of the board.
