Hi Hamza,

I created this new question from your reply earlier.

Since your issue is different than the thread you had replied on, it needs a new question.

For this, I would recommend the following:

  1. Make sure that the base URL in Jira is https and not http.
  2. If you continue to have problems, include your server.xml file so we can compare NGINX and Tomcat. Please feel free to send this using Dropbox if necessary, and censor out any private information.

Regards,

Shannon

@Shannon SHaving the same EXACT issue. Please help! After upgrading from Jira 7.12.1 to 8.3 we are now having this issue. Our base URL is set to https://

Hello there,

Happy to give you a hand. For this error, this is usually due to a misconfiguration of the proxy or certain certificate related issues.

I would recommend to first bypass the proxy and SSL and see if you continue to have the issue:

You can use the below resource to test your SSL:

You will also want to take a look through your Jira Server Logs to see exactly where it might be failing.

If you continue to have issues, I would recommend that, if it's possible, please create a Support Zip. Raise a ticket with our Support Team and they will be able to take a look at your configuration and let you know what the issue is.

Regards,
Shannon
