Hi, before i start i know there is a very simple answer to this! It is to download the attachment.
But just i just wanted to see if anyone else had users reporting the same issue:
Our users say they used to be able to copy from say Excel documents that had been attached to tickets and then paste into another document etc. Now Preview changes the text of the document, and will not allow copying in that it appears to alter the formatting of the text when copied and pasted.
Disclaimer: I dont know if something has changed in the way Jira renders previews or if it has always been like this (i have never paid too much attention to it)
Hi @Jon Bowes . I can see something similar when pasting info from an Excel spreadsheet. If I have a column of data and select 10 rows, instead of seeing 10 rows of data it's all pasted on one line.
I couldn't find anything specific searching through the Jira issues at Atlassian.
I would suggest opening a ticket with Atlassian @ support.atlassian.com and see what they have to say.
@Dan Breyen sorry for your replies getting stuck in our spam quarantine - they were automatically sorted there, likely due to similar wording in your posts over a short period of time that made the system believe it was spam. Hopefully this won't happen again but if it does, know we review the spam queue regularly and will restore your posts as I just did with your last three. Thanks for all your contributions! 🤩
