Jira roadmap embedded in Confluence page does not render, however previews

I'm stumped with this one. TIA for the assistance:

I have a roadmap in Jira. I have copy/pasted it's URL into a Confluence page. While the Confluence page is in edit mode, the resulting URL automagically renders as a roadmap, just as I would it expect it to do. However, as soon as I publish the page, the pasted URL renders as a hyperlink URL string. 

Putting the page back into edit mode, the roadmap macro correctly once again renders the URL as a roadmap Gantt chart.
