Hello there,
Im looking into an automation rule that triggers an email message (send mail) when an Jira ticket is forwarded (linked issue) to another project.
So we have an Servicedesk jira project and an Engineering project (kanban) and when I have a ticket that i change to "waiting for change" and link an issue to the Engineering project and it is a high Priority ticket I want to automate that an email is being send to certain people.
I get no errors.. in the log so it doenst even trigger the automation rule.
Hi Erik,
If the rule is not even getting triggered, you need to check the box in the Rule details for Allow rule trigger. Save and publish and then give it another try.
Hello John, this doesnt trigger the event. It must be something different. And when I make an ticket directly on the other board it does trigger the email so it must be something to do with the fact that i make an ticket on board 1 and copy linked issue to the board number 2.

Ahhh found it John. In the origional automation rule i needed to add the option: if priority = P1 then email ***** .
Now it works like a charm.
Thanks for thinking with me in this issue.
have a good day.

So it was being triggered, it just wasn't sending the email because of a condition. Anyway, glad you found it.
