I installed the Jira Software trial on Windows 2012 R2 running in a VM. I can login to the site using the browser on the VM but cannot get to the site from another computer such as the host the VM is running on. I am able to get to the default website that is running in the VM from the host but when I try to get to Jira I get a page cannot be displayed error. I tried the VM IP and host name including the port #.

Also I do not see Jira in IIS.

That suggests that your VM is not making it available to the outside.  Or your VM has a firewall preventing access.

JIRA Software is a java application with its own application server.  If you want to proxy to it and/or put IIS in front of it, you can, but it's a good chunk of config work you need to do (not just "install it an it appears in IIS")
