Is it possible to set up additional fields in Slack when creating issues from Slack to Jira? Fields like: assignee, labels, type of task, etc.? Or there is only possibility to specify summary, description and project?
Hi Andrea!
Currently the fields written to the issue from Slack are limited to those you mentioned - custom fields aren't yet available. We do have an open feature request to track this however; you can watch and vote on it here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/API-157
Outside the official Jira Cloud for Slack integration provided by Atlassian, there are a number of third-party Slack to Jira apps that provide this particular feature. You can have a look on the Atlassian Marketplace to see if these other connectors meet your needs. Using a third-party app would get you the ability to customize the fields from Slack today.
Cheers,
Daniel
hi @Daniel Eads , I am facing an issue when trying to create a ticket thru Slack, we have made the Component mandatory, so we keep getting an error, is there a way to add it to slack - jira creation? this is very important.
Thanks

Hello @Nour Durra , welcome to the Community! The answer above is still accurate. There's not a way to do this today with the native integration. Our team is however looking at ways to improve this - please watch the ticket above on jira.atlassian.com to get updates from our product manager when there is news to share!
Cheers,
Daniel

Hey @Daniel Eads Wanted to see if this still the case. I am trying to create an issue through slack but cannot see a certain field that we had created on our end. Is there a way to edit what fields we see when creating a ticket through slack?
