Jira Release Plans doesn't create a confluence link

Mark_Bronzynski1 November 27, 2024

Jira plans allows creating of links for confluence on all the options but teams and releases.  I really need to be able to have the release visual posted and shared.

Hi @Mark_Bronzynski1

While Jira Advanced Roadmaps does offer some integration capabilities with Confluence, there are limitations when it comes to automatically generating links or embeds for the "Releases" view.

Unlike other roadmap views, the "Releases" view lacks a direct shareable link or embed option.

Try Confluence's iFrame macro to embed the Advanced Roadmap plan URL, although this may require creating a custom view.

Another option is to utilize the Jira report macro to display release progress across projects. On the other hand, creating custom views in Advanced Roadmaps that showcase the required release data and then sharing these views in Confluence can also achieve the desired outcome.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards

Thank you!  iFrame gave me the user experience that I'm after with Confluence and Jira Release plan view.
