Display Advanced Roadmap for Jira Plan Release view in Confluence

Dan Bender January 6, 2022

I would like to be able to display the Advanced Roadmap Plan Releases view from Jira, in Confluence.

When I use the URL from this view in the Advanced Roadmap for Jira Plan macro, I get an error: "It looks like you've entered an invalid URL".  Is there a way to show the "Release" view only in Confluence?

Thanks.

Dan

Hi @Pramodh M

Thanks for the reply, however, the problem I'm having isn't in being able to display the main "roadmap" view in Confluence, but the "Release" view of the roadmap in Confluence.

In your picture, if you click on "View Settings" you can get to a "Release" view, once you go there, the "Share plan" button disappears.  At least it does for me, as a result I'm unable to get a shareable link.

I want to be able to show the "Releases" view of the plan in Confluence.

Thanks.

Hi @Dan Bender

Unfortunately, that view is not supported yet.

I would suggest adding Jira report Macro and you can customize it to display the progress of the releases across different projects

FYI, In Sprint capacity management view displays the releases of issues in your plan

Or you can create a new view for displaying data on releases and then share the page to Confluence

Here's a ref link on how you can create a view

Hi @Dan Bender

Welcome to the community.

Did you follow the instructions posted here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/embed-your-advanced-roadmap-plan-in-a-confluence-page/

Thanks for the reply.

However, within Advanced Roadmaps, there is an option to select other "views".  Its located in the upper left corner.  After selecting the "Releases" view, the "Share As" button goes away so I don't have the ability generate a URL.

Instead, I tried copying the URL from the location bar up top but that didn't work.
