Can anybody share best practices, processes, tools for Jira Product Discovery? I expect we'll have 25-50 Creators to start.
I am the admin of a 12,000-user org with 6k Jira licenses, 5k Confluence, 2k JSM and I would like to put governance in place quickly as we start using JPD. Our Jira and Confluence instances are a mess because there was minimal governance for 10+ years before I took over.
in addition to @Tomislav Tobijas _Koios_ answer, I may recommend this https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/Introducing-the-Atlassian-Product-Discovery-handbook/ba-p/2836165 thread. It contains a link to JPD handbook. We ourselves used its PDF version - very helpful.

Hi @Mathew Lederman ,
Is there any particular process you'd like to incorporate JPD with? Are you developing products so Creators would be product managers, or is the plan to have JPD as an idea intake (not necessarily related to product management)? Or maybe a mixture of everything.
Whether you're going with one JPD project or several, I'd recommend 'start small'/baby steps during the first implementation and project(s) configuration. It's easy to build up later on, but it's hard to reduce something or clean up if you have too many unnecessary config items.
Also, try to review the current process for intake and prioritization (whether people are using third-party tools or some other Atlassian tools) and optimize it as much as possible. Like, combine 3 or 4 fields into one (if possible), reduce and standardize workflows and such.
There are some good official resources such as Getting started with JPD, and I can also recommend an official Community product group related to this product.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to post them here or within the JPD group.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tobi
