Jira: Howto create object in context of other object

Hi all,

I haven't found a way to create an object in the context of another object, meaning that the two objects are than linked via a link-type. I think it would be natural to have a "Create" button in the context of a "linked object" section.

Instead I have to create the new object and than link it by copy-pasting the issue number. Is there a better approach for this?

Hi Albrecht,

there are some Create and Link-Plugins on the marketplace, but I don't know them and can't recommend one of them. You have to try.

Out of the box, there is no function for that in Jira.

Thanks Thomas, for pointing out. I have to say that my satisfaction with Jira drops continuously. Missing basic functionality forces me to pay more money and deal with third party. That does not meet my expectations.
