We have integrated Jira with Github using the native integration. In PRs, the engineering team tags the Jira issue key and that part is working fine.
Currently, there are triggers for if a PR is merged, but we can't specify the branch. It's very hard to tell from Jira if a specific issue linked to a Github PR has been merged to dev, staging, or prod branch.
We would like to create some workflows based on when a PR is merged into a specific branch (i.e. Dev, Staging, Prod). I've been doing some searching and haven't found a good answer yet.
Is this possible? It doesn't seem like it's possible natively, but maybe there is a plugin? Any help would be appreciated.
Doing a bit more research, it looks like we can make better use of smart commits. More testing needed.
