Jira Form: Unable to link fields to custom field in project

I have created a Team-Based project, and within that project, I have created a number of custom fields.

I am trying to create a Jira Form that would link form fields to my custom field. For example, a dropdown field in the form to a custom dependent dropdown field in the project. Or a Single User field in the form to a custom User field in the project.

So far, I haven't been able to find my custom fields.

Am I doing something wrong?

What type of project is this? Jira Work Management? Jira Software? Jira Service Management? Team-managed? Company-managed?

It is a Jira Software Team-Managed project.

Ah, that's probably why then. Team-managed projects are very limited especially for user picker custom fields. I would suggest using a Company-managed project if you really need that functionality.
