JIRA email notifications - include recent comments?

Is there a way to see the last 2 or 3 replies to a JIRA issue in the email notification? Currently, the notification only includes content regarding the most recent change.

Hi Doug

Basically, the notification that JIRA send out will show out all and each of the latest comments/changes by any of the participants on the issue itself.

Yes, but can an individual notification also include the last few changes? (not just the details/comments for the specific change that triggered the notification.
