Issue type for specific projects

Is it possible to enable an issue type for specific projects instead and not for all projects that use the same issuetype scheme?

Hi @AgileHappyLearner ~ the issue type scheme determines which issue types will be available for a set of projects so that's what you use to enable issue types per project.

I already know and sorry for asking something so obvious, the issue is that I want to do a pilot for the introduction of a new issue type but in principle I would like to enable it for some projects and then depending on the result enable it for the rest of the projects. Do you think is possible to create a new issuetype scheme adding the new issue type and assign it only for the projects in pilot but include the new issue type workflow in the common workflow scheme for all? I mean, projects in pilot will have New Issuetype scheme + common workflow scheme modified and projects out of the pilot will have Old Issuetype scheme + common workflow scheme modified

Ah.  You can absolutely do that, @AgileHappyLearner .  Just copy the existing Issue Type Scheme, add your new issue type and change your pilot project(s) to use that copied ITS. Make sure your new IT is mapped appropriately in your existing Workflow Scheme (sometimes this is automatic with unmapped issue types, but validate in your environment) and your Screen Scheme.  Then after pilot, change your other non-pilot projects to use the new scheme or just update the existing one to include the new issue type, which you can then use to revert the pilot projects to -- updating the existing one is usually my preference as it eliminates extra overhead of having multiple schemes.
