Isolate and show just one level of Select List (cascading)

Ruth Ariel January 29, 2020

Hi,

We use 'Select List (cascading)' field with 2 levels.

In a dashboard we want to put 'Two Dimensional Filter Statistics' gadget when grouping the issues by the first level of this field.

Now the values of this field saved as one string, when both levels separated by dash, so the issues grouping by the whole string, what says by the second level.

There is any option to isolate the levels or to group by the first alone?

Thanks in advance,

Ruth

No, that would be incorrect, as the value of a cascading select is the pair, not half of the value.

Thanks @Nic Brough about your response.

How do you think it is right to collect customer information if we have a hierarchy in it?
For example - a subsidiary or several divisions for every customer.
We would like to get customer requests information according to each level in the hierarchy.

Thank you.

Yes, in which case you'll need both parts of the list.
