Is there a way to send reminder e-mails to issue assignee's to update their assigned issue status?

Tom Houser October 18, 2021

I need an automated way to remind issue assignee's to update their assigned issue on a weekly basis. This could be done with an Jira generated email.

1) An email subject line would contain the issue name.

2) The mailer message content should customizable by Jira administrator.

3) Mailer send frequency assignable by Jira administrator.

This sounds like a perfect use case for our app, Notification Assistant for Jira which is also a Staff Pick!

Hi @Tom Houser and welcome!

There are numerous ways to do that

  1. Use subscription filters which will send out list of all issues resulted from a JQL to a group of individuals. This solution will not have a custom subject, or email message, but it will have all issues on the fly, with minimum work from your side. 2. Use automation which will be scheduled on a fix basis. This solution can have custom subject and custom body. It can als o be schedule to be send to certain individuals like the first solution.
