Is it possible to make autocomplete issue field with Atlassian Connect ? Edited

Hi, I'm building addon for Jira Cloud and I wanted to make an select field with data from 3rd party url ( some kind of autocomplete ) so I wanted to ask about this topic.

Now I'm using "jiraIssueFields" for creating particular field but I stucked in getting data. Also I think about update somehow field options by Cloud REST API, but seems like it isn't so smooth.

If you have any ideas, very welcome! Thanks.

Hi Anatoli,

I think using the jiraIssueFields module is the right approach. You can use the rest API to add values to field, depending on the data returned form the 3rd party you mention. The single select field has autocomplete by default, from what I can tell.

Is that what you're trying to achieve? You say using the rest api isn't smooth - how so? Are you possibly trying to add new values to the issue field as the user is typing?
