Dear Atlassianners,
We have a JIRA cloud project configured as an authorization matrix and use it to manage employees(leavers, joiners, movers), administer them and give access to authorized employees to certain applications.
We would like to extend the current situation to be able to support single sign-on and use JIRA cloud as the identity provider and to hand out rights to the authorized users (role-based).
We want to connect our project to our own access and identity solution. This way our JIRA cloud project would be our identity provider and we would have one place to feed our provisioning engine.
What are the options? Webhooks, API's, add-ons, crowd? and which protocols are possible to use with JIRA, thinking of SAML, Oauth, OpenID?
Kind Regards,
Jaron
Cloud has it's own user directory system and allows for google authentication as well.
That's it. It does not expose its internals and it can't be used as a directory for other systems.
I suspect webhooks and connect add-ons are your only options for updating other systems.
Is everything clear enough or is more information needed?
Kind regards,
Jaron
