Insert new fix version from issue view\edit - only Admin

Insert new fix version from issue view\edit - only Admin

Hello,

Right now every user can insert a new fixVersion (in edit\view screen of issue).

I would like to allow this only to admin user.

I don't want that everyone can add which fixVersion they want.

Unless something has changed FV is tied to Resolve permissions which puts a damper on your goal.

correct. However, there are threads that speak to a work around restricting Resolve permissions but then modifying the workflow. I have not attempted this so cannot speak to the effectiveness.
