I am trying to inherit the fix version from the epic, to stories and subtasks - when the epic has a change in the fix version. Here is my rule, which doesn't work :)
When I change the epic fix version, the stories do not inherit it. It remains empty. Any pointers what I am doing wrong?
In your Branch step do you have this box checked?
If so, uncheck it.

rather that copying from Parent can you try Trigger?
