Import issue links that target another JIRA

Julien D I'm New Here May 06, 2021

We have two Jira that are linked using Application links (so we can create bidirectionnal issue-links). I would like to know if it is possible to specify during an External system import in CSV that some issue-links reference issues from the other Jira.

Example: JIRA-1 is an issue that I would like to import, which is linked with ISSUE-1 from the other Jira. Can I specify in the CSV import that JIRA-1 is linked with ISSUE-1 ? I guess just putting the issue key will not work as ISSUE-1 is not present in the Jira where I am importing JIRA-1.

Hi @Julien D I am not sure about the CSV import but this can be achieved using the script runner, you can write a script for this.

Hello @Sagar Mahajan thank you for your reply !

Yes your solution would probably work very well for a couple of issues. I want to stick to the CSV import because I have to migrate one project A with linked issues to the project B to a "new" Jira.

I would like to keep the issue-links from A to B, knowing that B will remain on the "old" Jira, so I was hoping I could to some simple transformation in the CSV file to convert standard issue-link to issue-link targeting the old Jira.
