I deleted a filter which had a subscription. Does the subscription delete too?

Hi,
I'm going through some of the filters in JSM. They were created by someone who is no longer at the company and the filter is no longer needed. I deleted the filter, but as I deleted it a message box popped up saying 'This filter is used elsewhere. Deleting it may impact other people's work'. I deleted it anyway. Does the subscription also get deleted and if not does it at least stop?
