How to unlock the Custom field which is locked by Jira?

Hi,

I cannot add the custom filed 'Team' on the advanced roadmap filters as its shows unsupported in the filter settings. But the field is single select dropdown and works on all the associated screens. I get the message for it - 'Advanced Roadmaps does not support this custom field type'.

I tried to check this field in the custom field settings and found its locked and shows the message - 'This configuration item is locked by Jira or one of its plugins. You are not allowed to alter its configuration'.

How to unlock the custom field? Is it possible?

Welcome to the community.

I don't have access to a system with Advanced Roadmaps, so my next statements are based solely on the documentation.

Looking at this document

It appears that filtering based on the Team is already available without you having to add a field.

On the topic of unlocking Locked fields, it is not possible for you to do that, and generally you should never need to do so. If you really think you need to, you should contact Atlassian Support.
