How to set default value for an Insight custom field in Create Issue screen?

I have a couple of Insight custom fields in Jira Server. I need to set a default value for these when the end user is in the Create Issue screen.

Setting the default value of any Insight custom field in Jira Server should be as simple as just giving the field an Insight Object ID string, eg "ABC-123456". Problem is my ScriptRunner Behaviour script doesn't work in the Create Issue Screen specifically. How can this be achieved?
