How to set default assignee

Hi,

I want to set the default assignee to the issue. Whoever is the reporter, the issue needs to be assigned to the particular user.

I went through some solutions. But there are like, if he/she is the reporter, then assign it to the mentioned user. But In our case, reporter is not important.

There are various ways to go about this but first you have to describe your use case in more detail as that would give us better context on what you want to achieve.

If you just want to set a default assignee, you can use

• Components
• Project lead
• Post functions
• Jira automations etc

Just to mention a few above, so if in your case the reporter is not important, which team or which user do you always want to set as the default assignee? e.g Project leads or developer users or QA users etc.
